LAS VEGAS – Ryan Garcia’s first shot at more than an interim world title never came to fruition after he missed weight by over three pounds for what was eventually ruled a no-contest against then-WBC 140-pound champion Devin Haney in April 2024.
Garcia’s weight wasn’t an issue this time. Garcia and Mario Barrios made their WBC 147-pound title bout official Friday, as they both made weight at T-Mobile Arena. Barrios weighed 147 pounds, while Garcia stepped on the scale at 146.5 for the main event of “ The Ring: High Stakes ” card. Barrios will defend his title for the third time when he faces Garcia on Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena. The weights for the rest of the card are listed below.
