Anthony Joshua wants Tyson Fury to take his own advice.
Before Joshua settled on a July 25 clash with Kristian Prenga in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, it was suggested by Fury that "AJ" should face rising heavyweight star Moses Itauma. Ultimately, Prenga was selected. And Joshua , who hasn't fought since he was involved in a car crash that killed two of his closest friends in December, will look to set up a huge clash with Fury at the end of the year. Fury now needs an opponent for his August 1 return fight, and Joshua has a name in mind. “Is he fighting Itauma? He was saying to me when I was looking for an opponent ... fight Itauma. So I think that would be a perfect name,” Joshua told talkSPORT. “They’re all under the same promotion. So if Fury is what he says he is, maybe he should step forward. And Frank [Warren] should put his fighter forward instead of worrying about what I’m up to.” Itauma, ranked No. 6 by The Ring, is one of the hottest young names in the sport right now. In his last two fights, the 21-year-old dispatched Dillian Whyte in the first round and followed that up with a fifth-round stoppage of Jermaine Franklin . According to Warren, Itauma's promoter, he will return on August 8. At the moment, Filip Hrgovic, ranked No. 5 by The Ring, is the leading candidate to face him at London's O2 Arena. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yIvDczW4JE4&t=2s
